How Wellness Happens
Empowering Every Mind
I believe people are remarkably resilient and capable of growth, even during life's most difficult seasons. Sometimes people become stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, overwhelmed by painful experiences, or disconnected from their own strengths. My role is not to "fix" clients, but to walk alongside them as they gain insight, develop new skills, and create meaningful change. I strive to provide a space where clients feel accepted, understood, and supported while also being gently challenged when growth calls for it.
As a counselor, I am warm, creative, genuine, and down-to-earth.
I enjoy helping clients discover what works best for them rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. My work often incorporates creativity, play, humor, and curiosity, especially when working with children and adolescents. Whether I am supporting a child through play therapy, helping a teen navigate identity and relationships, or working with an adult managing anxiety, ADHD, trauma, or emotional regulation challenges, I aim to build a strong therapeutic relationship that helps clients feel empowered and understood.
beyond the office
When Lauren is not working, she enjoys art, music, creative projects, swimming, and spending time outdoors. She loves exploring new interests, getting absorbed in creative endeavors, and spending time with her children and her two cats, Kitty and Niko, whose personalities keep life interesting. As someone who appreciates creativity, individuality, and a little bit of organized chaos, she enjoy connecting with people who embrace their unique way of experiencing the world.
Client Testimonials
"Our 5-year-old used to get so angry so fast, and we felt like we were constantly dealing with meltdowns and stress at home. After coming to see Lauren, things slowly started changing, our child is happier, calmer, and actually talks to us about feelings now instead of immediately exploding. It honestly feels like our whole family can breathe again."
— Parent of a 5-year-old
"Going through a divorce was incredibly hard on our 12-year-old, and we could see the sadness, anger, and stress showing up more and more at home. Lauren gave our child a place where they felt safe enough to open up, and over time we started seeing them smile more, communicate more, and seem less emotionally overwhelmed. It helped our child feel supported during one of the hardest seasons our family has been through."
Parent of a 12-year-old
"My relationship with my 14-year-old had become full of arguments, shutdowns, and misunderstandings, and it honestly felt like we couldn’t talk without it turning into a fight. Through family therapy, we started learning how to communicate differently with each other, and little by little things at home became calmer and more connected. We still have hard moments, but now it feels like we are actually on the same team again instead of constantly battling each other.”
